CMCHC offers a range of services that support prevention and healthy community efforts.
Resource Center
Our Resource Center is a public library that has books, videos, curricula,
health data, educational materials, periodicals, health displays, and many
other creative prevention resources.
Training
We conduct and plan trainings and conferences on a variety of topics related
to our goals. We also assist our community partners in the creation, planning,
and promotion of trainings and events.
Evaluation
We can assist you in the collection of data and the evaluation and assessment
of your program.
Community/Coalition Development
We can help you develop and sustain effective coalitions and lead you through
the strategic planning process using the Healthy Communities Approach.
Substance Abuse Prevention
We can work with your group to develop and implement prevention programs and
activities. We specialize in teaching science-based substance abuse prevention
models and environmental strategies.
Youth Development
We provide training and technical assistance for youth, adults and agencies
on integrating positive youth development principles into programs and community
initiatives.
Whether you work for a neighborhood, task force, school, community coalition, youth serving agency, faith organization or other health-related partnership, CMCHC can help your group set and meet your goals. Using the latest prevention research, data, curricula, and tools, the staff provides training, technical assistance and support in the development, implementation, evaluation and sustainability of your initiatives. Many of the services that link with our goals are free, others are fee for service. Contact staff to discuss your program or organization and to discuss how we can assist you.
